I am not sure if i am feeding my fish right, I cannot tell if I am over feeding or under for that matter.

I have the follwoing fish;
3-4" Marroon Clown
3" Lemon Peel Angel
3-4" blue throat Trigger
2 damsels
6" Brown Banded Goby.

And a decent CUC.

I feed them 2 cubes every other day of a mixture of differnt food.  They seem to get most of it within 15mins or so.  Unless i put the smaller sized feeds then it seems to float around for an hour.  I through a pinch of flakes in every once and a while between feedings.

Is this enough?  I have monitored for aggression and they seem to be okay for the off day, with exception of the Angel but it begins picking at rocks 15 mins after feeding.

I would be feeding twice a day atleast ..  in the morning then maybe a little pinch of flake around 4-5 then feed before lights out  . Personally I feed my fish 3 x a day . So with 7 fish you should be feeding that 2 cubes a day and pinch of flake in between ... also turn your pumps off while feeding this way more food will get eatin rather then down the overflow and skimmed out .

The problem i have with 2x a day is, I am at work until 5 and lights are on from 2 -11:30.  I guess a cube after work and before bed would work.

From time to time to i am not around for a day, do I over feed the day before?  For the most part I feed them the San Fransico Bay brand (marine cusine, emerald entree etc).  Should I be rinsing food before feeding?

Would an auto feeder work better, for flakes and/or pellets?

Hopefully i am not way off base.

yes rinse it out altough theres a thread on reefcentrel saying that the difference between rinsed in not is not as big as most people think . that being said I rinse mine but you do lose alot that little filter feeders and such could be eating .

I have an auto feeder for flake food... I have it set to spin twice a day... morning and night... If I feel like feeding cubes /shrimp / whatever I do that manually.  I can leave for a weekend and not worry about hungry fish. Not that they will die with no food for three days:)
