Eggcrate

Hey guys

I was wondering where I can buy egg crate for the bottum of my tank and place the rock on top of that .... please help !

I buy mine at Home Depot.  It is usually in the ceiling section.

get it at lowes or home depot or rona...  in the light dept ...it will be a big sheet they use for florescent light covers

Do some reading before you use it on the bottom of a tank. There are some negatives. Nitrate factories are one worry.

That was my first thought, very similar to an undergravel filter, you'd end up with all sorts of nasties filtering down through the eggcrate.  I placed my rock directly on the bottom of the tank and then added the substrate so the rock wouldn't shift.
