You going to remove the false wall ? If so it's just like drilling every other tank. Hardest part is trying to keep it level whe you drill due to the curved front.

I drilled one two months ago to see how it would work. I drilled the glass first and then drilled the same size holes in a piece of ceramic to use as a backing plate to add stability to the bulkheads if they were ever twisted or banged.. So far all is well. The glass seems pretty thin so that is why I reinforced the backing.

I made a cutout of the hole size out of a piece of plastic. I then two side taped it on the glass. I used a syringe to squirt water on it while I was drilling to keep the bit cool.

Any pics?? What size holes? And how big is ur sump

No pictures as of now. I have it plumbed into a 40 gallon sump that also runs my 180. I put valves on it so I could isolate it from the sump as well. I drilled two one inch holes because that is the size of bit I own. I am just fooling around with it.
