HI guys
I have a 250 gallon set up with sand and rock both dry I added the bacteria 3 bottles and the appropriate ammonia 4 drops per gallon
Its been 5 days now the ammonia levels are 4 ppm quite high no nitrite values because the ammonia is not being converted
My question is shouldn't I be seeing some drop in ammonia by now and a slight rise in nitrite
should I do a water change
Thanks in advance

I cycled my frag tank with dr tims, it took about a week before i saw results, I cycled my 260g with ATB bacteria and it took about 5 days to start to work, I would be patient and give it a couple more days, if nothing happens by then you might need to add more bacteria, I wouldn't do a water change.
