I used to years ago religiously but have stopped a long time ago and have never noticed any difference. If you do regular water changes you will be fine. I just don't like dosing for something I don't test for. Mind you if you stick to a basic amount every so often it will not hurt.

I dose 3 drops a week, inverts require it.
You will get enough from your water changes to supplement for inverts. Unless you have many types of macro algaes I don't see the need in dosing extra.

Lol that changes things quite a bit. What are you doing to replenish your trace elements since no waterchanges?

I always use it.... You sure it's iodine or iodide there's a big difference between the two. Iodide is much safer iodine will kill your tank if you overdue it just a little bit. Inverts need it, macro uses it and zoos really really need it.

Salifert has an iodide test kit so you can test it.
