Both have issues from what I read. Typically happen early though. So just be sure to limit the fluid in your containers and check that the pumps are running when they are supposed to. Haven't read to many long term failures. But replacement heads are pricey.

Pretty much all dosers can have a bad dose or issue. Much like power heads, some are just bad. There are none that are 100%. Magnus and Vertec have the best rep as people, much like with clothing, immediately associate cost with quality.

ya i just gotta be careful with aqua vitro because the amounts used are alot smaller than most name brands so a little more or a little less will have me on a sh** rope in a big hurry at least here i can get truthful long term review from members and not a sales pitch.... hurry up with that doser design torx lol :)

I've got a brand new BRS doser in-box never used that I'm trying to sell, if you end up going the BRS route let me know you can save yourself a bit of $ at my expense :)

I have a kamoer and I have never had any issues. Before I fired it up on the tank, I dosed water into a measuring cup and made sure everything was kosher for a few days as a practice dry run.

ya was planning on doing the same test.... kamoer is what i was leaning more towards wish more people that had them long term could chime in since most net reviews are just after purchase not after a year of operation

My bubble magus worked well for 2 years then the alk pump stopped working and my alk dropped dangerously low before I noticed it, I have a vertex now but it stops working periodically and has to be rebooted, I check it daily to make sure.
If you have a controller the brs pumps are good, just make sure you use relay outlets to run them.
