Definitely! That thing is the perfect size for my 40G tank. I can run it at full power and it produces a nice 1" plus wave across the tank. It was well worth the trade than buying another unit.

Very nice Derek!  I need to get out sometime and see this set-up in person, I love the thought of a plumbed in frag tank.  :)

Finally got my Actinic LED supplement lighting hooked up and powered!  I will snap some pics tonight along with some progression shots. Corals have really been taking off now that I have my PO4 in check again. It has been a little high. Not high enough to cause damage but enough to slow down the growth of my SPS. Now, things couldn't be better.

Finally a few spare minutes to post some pics of the modified lighting. Forgive the super purple pics but it is very hard to shoot pics with solely RB LEDs going:

Here is the modified fixture with the RBs running.

Looks awesome. The rb's certainly do make certain corals glow. It is weird, some that you think would look incredible under rb's don't glow at all, but still look nice with the rb effect when the fuller spectrum lighting is on.

You will have to teach me how to take great pictures like that!
Very neat way to hang the LEDs onto the fixture.... Looks very professional.

Thanks everyone. I am trying to catch these darn blue streak cardinals. 2 down, 7 to go. Lol. I want to remove them and get some Flame Wrasses. As for camera, I am using a canon T1i.

Thanks for adjusting that photo Darryl. It was definitely far too blue. I still need to get down to Henrys to buy a white balance cap one of these days.

I took a pile of pics but a lot of them came out far to white.... I find my best photos are solely with the Blue Plus lamps running.

i use anything i can find for a white balance cap.. just use a tripod and hold whatever you have available in front of the lens while getting most of the tank in the photo, switch to manual focus and make the photo as out of focus as you can and use the set custom white balance feature on your camera. pringles lid, ziplock containers, cereal box bag, anything that has that grey/white translucent look to it. try setting this with all your T5's turned on only, then after you set it, your photos should be free of blue.. almost too much, then flick your leds on and i bet you get a perfect photo.
