His are different though, he has like 100 leds jammed under his canopy and is even contemplating adding more. I am just thinking that a pre fabricated unit might not be enough, diy is another story all together.
I have the Orphek Atlantik Led pendant that has 78 3 watt LEDs with 90 degree optics over my 90 gallon and my colours and grow has been just amazing. My unit does have 4 uv LEDs probably nowhere near what Glen has but I have been super happy with my lights. I have some of my brothers frags that he bought at Ricks frag swap that have been on my sand bed that are encrusting over the plugs and the colours are just as awesome as they where when he got them. I think with a DIY led you would really need to understand colour spectrum which I am sure Glen would be able to help you. I have a maricultured milli that I have had for 2 months now that is just starting to colour up and it looks as tho it is going to be well worth the wait. Keep your params good and wait they should come around
