Cleaning the cornerflows?

I took a look last night and my corner over flows are kinda gnarly. Looks like uneaten NLS pellets are making a little home down there. How do you guys clean them out? I also have noticed a lot of little things swimming in my overflows. They looks like tiny little clear critters. They are moving around pretty quick and are visible to the naked eye pretty easily....

Also there is a good amount of aiptasia growing in there too. Pretty funky in there..... I have never cleaned that part of my tank ever....

the critters are prob amphipods among other things,

i would just get a long skinny hose and put it down to the bottom and siphon out the detritus,

im not sure what, if anything, i would do about the aptisia though, probably fairly hard to reach i imagine.

shutting your return pumps off to feed also really helps keep food out of there.

Sounds like a Refugium in the making, Maybe throw some Chaoto down there. Apstatia really aren't a bad thing unless they are in the display.

I have the same tank and I never get uneaten food in there.  I use a feeding ring to make sure that nothing floats at the surface... That and my fish don't let food go.  My overflows are filled with sponges, amphipods and worms.  I was thinking of putting something in there to encourage the bugs.... I think cheato might create a dead spot at the bottom though.
