I feed mine clams from the grocery store.

I just go to the chinese market and pick out a bag of live clams and toss two into the tank at a time.

I waited too long in between feedings and he also ate my Crocea clam.... stupid bastard.

i heard somewhere to freeze them first because they will have their original seawater in them.... and you can stock more at home...

So wait, are wanting their original sea water or not? Cause the live ones in tje grocery store are sitting in dirty ass salt water that probably barely keeps em alive. I crack mine open with a butter kjife and then rinse em under fresh water for a few minutes to clean em out a little.

the freezing is supposed to kill off anything in the water...

There are plenty of gross things than can survive freezing. Boiling would be different, but that's not what you wanna do when feeding em to a cbb...

ya your prob right ,i suppose we do take a risk using unprepared foods,, but they deff last a lot longer frozen and my fish dont seem to care..and its a lot less trips to the special grocery store.., i used to rinse them, now i just rinse them in the tank water i thaw them out in..

This stupid cbb would be less of a pain in my ass if he didn't require a special diet. But I love how big he is and he crushed all the aptasia in my tank so I guess I should be thankful.

I buy seafood medley and blend it all together into mush, add cyclopeeze and reef roids, portion it, freeze it, feed it.

No risk taking at all, as long as you're buying fresh with no additives or artificial junk you should be golden. Buy the clams, freeze them, thaw them, feed them.

This new taptalk sucks tried to quote the post above... But if you mix it all together you only have one thing of food in the freezer, she can't complain about that ;) I had the same issue.
