Candy Cane

I have this kryptonite candy cane. I also found out.it is in the LPS family. When I purchased it it had what I would consider one head. Had a lot of flesh. Well over the last four weeks it looks to me.like it split. Now.there are two distinct heads but the flesh has receded considerably on both.

Is this coral OK. My Red/Green candy cane is.doing great. Feed both a little by hand twice a week.

Should I be worried at the.moment?

Pics are needed to be sure, but the fact that it is splitting is a good sign. If you have it in higher flow than the place you got it, it might be less blown up. Put it in low flow and it will probably inflate back up.

+1 tmah almost everything i own goes emo for a day or 2 after splitting both my frogspawn and torch did the exact same thing but came around i wouldnt worry unless it gets worse over the next week imo

Well all my other corals look just fine but this darn Kryptonite is just receding faster than an outgoing tide. Literally looks like it is going clear.

Not sure what is happening. All my parameters are good.

Actually no. The coral is in decent flow area but nothing that I would think would aggravate the little guy.

Tonight before feeding I am going to move it a little more out of flow.

Not sure but just came to mind that it is mid level in tank and may need more light.

Will see what happens after move.

If its starting to go clear or lose its color then that usually means too much light so you may make matters worse by placing it in higher light (tough to say without knowing your lighting).
I would recommend putting it in lower light with a nice GENTLE flow. You may want to even try a coral dip. Definitely make sure it has adequate space around it from other corals and be sure there is no small aiptasia hidden underneath them that could be stinging them. Hopefully they will turn around for you!

I will move it to a lower flow area and see what happens. Lighting me thinks is OK as it is about halfway down in the DT.
