..... by a clownfish?

My torch coral has lost a head, and I am wondering if a clown can irratate the coral enough with its constant humping that it can kill off part of the coral? The rest of the coral is fine btw.

Yup. Mine hosted to a hairy mushroom. No idea where it went now lol. Also heard of them pissing off an elegance to death as well, but mine all seem happy together so far.

I have three anenomes in my tank, and they seem to only host in the smallest of my two torch corals. Like I mentioned the one clown humped one of the heads to death, but they won't move...

Lol the nerve of those clown fish lol

Best thing to do is cover the torch with a bottle or similar clear plastic. Can take a few days but usually works.
What kind of nems? Lta is the most common success

The problem is most Ocellaris clown fish host in Heteractus Magnifica and so they choose not to host bubbletip nems. Torch corals closely resemble the magnifica on a smaller scale so they feel more comftable with the torch. I have heard of many clown fish killing torch corals.
