Can 2 1" Durso Handle 2 Mag9.5's At 5' Head?

I purchased an oceanic 175 reef ready, two holes drilled in each overflow box, 1.75" and 1.5". Came with a 1" durso standpipe that fit in the bulkhead that goes in the 1.75" hole, and a mag drive 9.5. I wanted to double the output, the 1.5" holes I was going to use for the outputs because I don't want to go herbie/beananimal if I don't have to (going to be fresh water for 2-3 weeks while I repair my 400, so I want to use a trickle tower). Does anyone know if the two 1" durso's will be able to handle 1900 gph minues the 5-6 foot head? Dare I say, can I go more?? Thanks.

So the bulkhead for the return is for 3/4" pipe. Mag drive pumps are supposed to use 1.5". I can rig it so 1.5" goes to the bulkhead, and after the bulkhead, but there will always be that bottle neck. Is it work making the pipe bigger before and after, or stick with the 3/4"? Anyone know how badly perfomance is affected with smaller piping? Thanks.

I appreciate it. I might actually take you up on it to be honest, I believe my Durso may be 1 1/4", problem is it is meant to fit in the 1" bulkhead, so regardless I have a bottleneck there, but I know that increasing the size of the pipe can sometimes help the flow, so if I run into issues I will message you. Thanks a lot.

No problem. I ordered it from Richard Durso. Installed it then my tank cracked within 24 hrs....let's not talk about that. Lol. I have two top caps for it too. I guess if you end up making air hole too big u have a back up. I drilled it with an 8th inch bit and it worked great. I believe I glued an inch and quarter adapter on bottom as I had an odd ball bulk head size.
