your water changes help to maintain....but other then that...good, stop dosing and check again in 2 weeks. maybe you've hit a sweet spot, I don't know.

I think a lot of people with young tanks who have success also have quite a bit of experience.  Derek's (Spyd's) tank isn't that old, but he has lots of experience to work with, which obviously helps.  Poseidon has a good point, you've been collecting some SPS frags and maybe until all your parameters come down into the ideal range and stabilize you may want to hold off from adding more. That said your existing pieces should come to life if you get those phosphates down and maintain your other parameters.  Once things do take off you will then see your Alk and Ca consumption go up.
Even Dereks tank took 6 months before he started seeing some nice colour and growth.  And this was his second tank (years into the hobby).  He built it perfect and timed things pretty good.  For a while there I kept asking him how the colours were coming as I was getting a little anxious myself about when it would take the corner but like I said sure enough 6 months and the colours started coming...now a year in and he is getting some great colour and growth.  I doesnt have to take 6 months to start seeing some colour and maturity but its normal...especially if you are starting with lots of dry rock or freshly shipped live rock with die off.  Even when I did tank transfers it could take 4 months for things to level out.

Tony if you want some help start a tank thread.  Give us ALL the details of your system and everything you do with lots of pictures (even if they are'nt good ones, I really want to see the lighting, powerheads, rockwork, etc).  I'm sure we can give you some good advice to get you on track or make sure you are on the right track anyway.  There are lots of subtleties to SPS keeping.  There is an art to to even acro placement that is very hard to explain in a single paragraph or post.

I should have researched more into this hobby before jumping in wallet first... lol

Here's the thing though.  Knowing you, if you had thrown a fistful of money at it, and done really really well, you would have gotten bored, sold it and gone back to curling (your first true love).  As it is, you are becoming addicted like the rest of us (sometimes confused with frustrated).  so count yourself lucky, sell another overprices sweedish car and keep looking forward.

I think you were taking turns with the keyboard. One stroke for it then a stroke for yourself.

If he is in the bar, I can understand the frustration with his keyboard. He has a tiny little bluetooth keyboard the size of a phone.
