I just noticed it the other night while looking around with a flashlight. It stretches out to 4 inches long! Anyone else had a bristle worm this long? It isn't hurting anything. Just seems to be sifting through the sand bed and going through the LR. It sure is ugly. I'm afraid to put my hand in there now :-\

I had a dark green one that was over 2 feet long in my 200gal. I'll have to search but I had pics. Never did anything any harm, just a scavenger.

I had a mass spawning of Bristle worms last night in the 180gal.  Noticed a milky jet splooge (the scientific term  ;D) out of a hole in a rock then a few minutes later, stuff was jetting out of every rock in that end of the tank. Eventually I actually saw a bristle worm stick his/her tip out of one rock and let loose.  The whole tank was cloudy, the skimmer went nuts...

lol...bristle worm orgy at Ad's tank!
.
2 feet - yikes . I noticed one in my tank a couple months ago that was 1/2 inch long. If they grow that fast I may have a 2 footer by the summer.

When I first put up my 90 and placed in the rock I had about 5 or 6 that measured 6 to 8 inches long. Since I got my 6 line wrasse I don't see them any more! Not to say he got them all, they could just be a little smarter as not to come out during the day! hahahah

Now I have about 8 peanut worms out and about every night!  :D

I had three brittle stars, they were only the size of a quarter but I liked them. I don't see them in the tank anymore though! Fish food maybe?
