last thing I need is more live rock, I am slowly adding unique pieces now, like branchy stuff or cool shelf ones, but someone has been slow on the trigger in getting me some.

OK. So things must be dying cause the rock stinks to high heaven. I walked down to my sump room to do my weekly water change and JEBUS. It reeks in there. I'm desperately trying to find the source when I look over at the rock and I put my nose up to it and YUP. I found the culprit. How do ip get all the dead crap out of the rocks now? It just stinks and putting so much dead stuff back into my tank doesn't seem like a good idea....

I used to have a piece of that, I got mine out of the Gulf of Mexico. I used it for a decoration (not in the tank) until it got broken. If you want to sell it PLEASE let me know, I thinks it great..they sell it down there as souvenirs..

I'm giving it another bleach bath for a few days just to make absolutely sure everything is dead. But I'm afraid that all the snails have simply retracted inside of the rock and are dead and decaying in the rock and won't be able to come out....

I wonder if a small pump added to the water would help remove any nasties from within the rock? movement? probably safer to add a pump to water and vinegar though :D
