I had polyp extension, and then my tank went for a bit of a dip in the summer, when i was direxted to lower my salinity. And now that my salts been outta whackbfor how long now riding at 1.022. I think its a mix of phos and the salinity.

And the only problem i was having before was colour issues. Every sps i put in would brown out. Now they keep theyre colour no problem. Which why i think my tank has somewhat stabalized

Your tank didn't look bad at all when I was there, I didn't notice any HA, You say you don't have Polyp extension on your Acros. It may not be Phosphate, It may just be that your tank isn't stable. I think people test way too much. I look at my tank and see how it appears, No Algae, then No problem, Corals opening up then No problems.. And .07 isn't bad at all.

Yeah ive got next to nothing for corralline algae growth..so maybe my tank hasnt stabalized yet.

I get almost no coralline growth, I've sort of chalked it up to LED lighting, but to be honest, that stuff can be a pain when it grows on everything, as long as the sps keep growing I don't mind its absence a bit.

Are you Dosing your tank? I've had great Coraline growth since I've been dosing 2 Part. Reilly I think perhaps your just looking for problems that aren't there. I think lack of a sump and that big ole 220 skimmer you got hanging of a 46 plus the Salinity problem makes that tank unstable.

What about your Nitrate level, What is it? And your not running Pellets, II think you're lucky to have colour in your SPS. Stability is Maturity. Not hodge podge. I'm not criticizing you, I think you've done very well with what you're working with.

Yeah i dont mind no corraline.. i just mind no polyps lol. And yeah no biopellets..and when i tested for nitrayes it was like.02 or something like that...no kore room for reactors..unless i can run off one pump.

I'm pretty sure its long been established that you cannot "overskim" a tank.  If I had room I'd have a skimmer fit for a marineland tank on my 125. 

Still, I would say that wanting to do sps without a sump will more and more become impractical.  You -may- want to consider getting that tank drilled, a skilled guy can do it with only half the water gone, or just put the sealife into totes while it's being done... I tried 10 years to do it without a sump and when I look back I wish I had just "got it done".

Yeah ive been kinda holding off for the 180.. what will the sump dp for sps growth? I thougt it was mainly for hiding your equipment and givong a large volume pf water and surface are for bacteria..or maybe i just answered my own question with bacteria?? lol is thrre anything wrong with the HOB overflows? Would.it be worth looking into those? And i dont think rrmoving evrything from my tank is possible at this point without destroying some of the sps since some have encrusted onto separaterocks. Id really love a sump. But dont know abyone that can drill either.

I don't know if you can chaulk that one up to LEDs, a few of us LED users on here have corraline growing like stink.  I put new rocks in the tank just over a month ago I think?  And they are 2/3 purple already!

There's other issues that can cause corals to brown out - what are you using for light?  How stable is your alk?  No polyp extension to me suggests possible alk swings.

Is there a chance there is a window near your tank?  I get coralline algae in the tank near the window, but not where it's LED light only.. ?

haha cheater.  When I was using regular lighting I had way too much coralline, since 100% led, very little except near the window.
