You would need a break out box plus at least one float valve, the water pump for the ato and a plug location on the Apex eb8 power bar.
@TORX could probably explain it way easier and better than I can

Quick fix would be replace the pump.

I'm kind of done with this model it's never worked properly. I got it the pump was non functional. I bought a new one while having issues getting a replacement for the new pump. That one worked for a little over a year and now the third one is done. It was noisy and not very reliable.

I guess I'll order a smart ATO and hope to have better luck

To put the ending on this issue.

Picked up my new AutoAqua Smart ATO-Automatic Top Off System. Shipping is always lighting fast. I finally got 3 tubes of that glue everyone's is so happy with NON CLOGGING - Bob Smith Industries BSI Cyanoacrylate

The ATO was a snap to install took like 10 minutes tops no tools (self-exempted). Quite holy smokes, I wish someone would have told me. Worth the money, pump is a mini submersible and dead silent. No moving part for the rest so it's built not to fail, I hope.

So the smart ATO will not turn off.

Last week I turned the return pump off did my WC and then restarted the pump.l fill the sump with the new mix. The ATO kicked on but I had the sump filled quickly and the ATO should have turned off.

Long story short it almost pumped my ATO tank dry. Water everywhere. I unplugged the ATO cleaned up everything sump wall, ATO unit both parts then made sure the magnetic parts lined up. Drained the excess water from the sump and tried to set the ATO up again, same results the sensor appears to have stopped working.

Anyone think it might be something I could fix? Or is the sensor shot?

Bought it brand new worked less than a month.

So it's toast. I tested with the ATO on a partially filled clean clear tank running the pump from a bucket of water and there's no sensor response.

Well Here is the stage I am in

Contacted the vendor - they directed me to their supplier/manufacturer
Contacted the supplier/manufacturer- they directed me to their Help website (manufacture)
Created a ticket
Contacted for more information no idea where the serial number is on this unit. I sent the receipt, and several pictures of the unit and all parts with the warranty card. It says that there is a two year warranty and I just purchased it March 20th 2017.

waiting to hear back on the next step of where the serial number is located.

I had hoped that the vendor I purchased it from would have dealt with me directly and sent me a replacement. But that's not the way it works.

Where's it coming from / how long shipping ?

I'm getting my new kessil light but it ships from San Francisco:(
LA, so hopefully Tuesday or Wednesday. Hope it doesn't take too long? Not having one is pretty inconvenient. I have the worst luck.

They're almost a must have. Once you have one it's hard not to have one. Thank god it's not summer.

Ca e today. Hooked it up and worked right off the hop. But my original one worked perfect for two weeks at least.

Well fingers crossed. Man how I miss the ATO have no idea how I got along without it.

ya i have had mine since they first hit the market and still going strong. sounds like the dry side may have got splashed or condensation buildup if under stand is not vented. although the unit itself is sealed where the plugs are are not. Glad they sent a replacement.

I have the sump area open and plenty of air and I had it for less than a month before it stopped working. the reason it stop was the unit never shut off and over flowed the sump. So it may have gotten wet at that time. It just stopped sensing the water level. Im happy that they sent a replacement as well. Should I turn the dry side upside down? so the plugs are on the top or wrap them?

I have a 7 gallon top up container (rimless cube) and the sump will overflow at approximately 5 additional gallons if the pump runs the container dry. (found out the hard way)
