Are These Baby Shrimps

I can't seem to get a picture but let's say they are baby shrimp, how many babies could they have ? I have 3 peppermint shrimps and there had to have been 80+ of the tiny things swimming around all my fish were going crazy ! Any one have an experience like this ?

That's what's left after they had been eaten lol. Use a white plastic spoon for a pic might catch some with a turkey baster

Peppermints reproduce quite easily...FREE FISH FOOD!!!

Yeah it was insane you can see all the detail , but there were so many I was shocked ! So the chances of even 1 surviving in a reef are next to none?

Slim to no chance of them surviving unless you take steps and put them in their own system. Out of all the shrimp that have bread for me I have never had any last to a good size in my tank or sump. But I guess you never know.

Shrimp are fairly easy to raise but high mortality rate you need to pull them out asap and put them in a small tank. 2L pop bottle and small air pump with just enough bubble to keep water moving. Most eat phyto plankton at first once their organs fully develop after a day or two a chunk of clam in the bottom or shrimp will work for food. Daily water changes too which is hard not to lose shrimp. My blood shrimp was holding brood under her tail looked like a clump of orange but she stuffed them into a chunk of clam before I could catch it. Was neat to watch her move them around

Wow Steve that's sounds amazing to see first hand ! I looked today and I don't see any they got all eaten lol

Next time scoop em out and bring em by lol isn't this the second time it's happened to you?

This is the 1st time I seen so many I bought one from big als about 8 months ago and it had babies but weren't out yet and then I think she had them but died at the same time ?
But I couldn't see any like. I did lastnight . Next time I'll try it was late at night when I seen it but if I was smart I should have put some in my hob breeder box/ fuge .. next time bud

They usually hold the brood under their tail and use their tiny hind legs to constantly swap them around. If I remember right they hold for a week before tucking food in a rock and packing them in with it. One day I'll try raising shrimp

They molt when they release their larvae and then are either mated with or eaten while they are so vulnerable during the frenzy.

They stay as larvae for a few weeks before maturing, if I remember correctly, but they will eat brine shrimp nauplii right off the bat...I think Steve has a constant supply going so if you can catch any.....
