Hi everyone, just curious if any of you have used or tested out AquaChar? I picked some up on Sunday and in the past three days my water is clearer than it has ever been, polyp extension is better and everything just seems to have better color. I have tried various carbon in the past, none of them have made a visible difference in my tank to the point that my GF even makes a comment of how clear it looks and how the colors seem to pop more.

Both of my tanks run Chemi-Pure Elite and Purigen that I switch out monthly, I do not use a protein skimmer on either tank, water changes @ 10% are done weekly with Red Sea Coral Pro salt.

I looked at the website, but I can’t find where it says how much you need per gallon of water etc..

You use 250ml per 50gal of aquarium volume. I've been trying it out in my 75gal and I'm impressed.

I use 250ml in my 40g and the same in my Red Sea 130D. If it keeps going the way it is, I would buy the bulk size bag, far more economical.

Correct me if I’m wrong .. but they look like big pieces , would they work in the two little fishes reactors ?

From what I read others have used a reactor all be it very low flow, mine have yet to become heavy enough to sink as they should at some point.

Last night was the first time there was any sign of algae on my glass, so that was Sunday to Friday night. Corals are still wide open and everything still looks better.
