Umm, so completely new to Apex and have no idea really what I am doing. I did pick it up yesterday. I am short a few outlets...can I plug a power bar into the EB8? Like my lights are not dimmable, so I thought I would use the power bar they are currently plugged into and put it into the EB8 just for on and off functions, same thing with my 2 heaters on a separate bar then the lights.

Yup no issues with that.. Just don't overload any single outlet and your good to go

They can draw 10A vs the solid state only 5A.

One makes a click when it turns off and on. One doesn't..

Ahhh, gotcha. I think I read that the relay outlets sometimes have phantom power or trickle, so do not use them on ATO pumps as they may still turn on.

yep, if you use these outlets for any low power drawing pump it may not shut off.  The BRS dosers are good examples.
Some guys will add more load to the outlet with a power bar and include a lightbulb or something so that they can depend on the outlet to switch power off.

Thanks for the info. I think I will add a power bar to each and hook up my heaters to one and lights to the other. I plan on getting another EB8 in the coming month, but boxing day salt wins the bank account next. Building WP harnesses this afternoon as well. Happy day in the house today

I eneded up having to buy a second plug module.  Was worth it in the end.  honestly I could use 3.

3 would be great...but one thing at a time lol. I need a EB4, but getting the EB8 because that only makes sence financially.  That should be good until I get a breakout box.

I'm running 2- EB8s AND a power bar and a manual switch bar.  It's crazy.

Just know that the EB4 has 4 relay outlets and the EB8 only has 2

Its the solid state relays that dont turn off with low loads.  the mechanical relays always do regardless.  I run the the dosers on the mechanical plugs, not issues at all.

Lol, yes... I had it backwards as the EB8 has 2 switched outlets and the rest are relay outlets and the EB4 has 4 switched outlets.

ouch…hope i have everything plugged in right …lol  to there right sockets..but duke set it all up first  then when i had that heater shatter  ..i dunno now..lol
