Hey everyone.
I thought I'd better ask, because I personally haven't kept an anemone in close to 15 years. I especially don't have experience with rose BTA's.
I have a chance to pick up a 6" BTA. It's currently kept under a 250MH.
My questions for everyone are:
I'm skeptical about putting it in my DT. The last anemone I had decided to move when I was at work and stung the crap out of quite a few of my corals. It was a LT anemone. And since then I haven't kept one.
Do you guys think I should take the risk and add it to my DT? I have a SPS dominated tank, and I'm not sure I should risk it. What have all of you experienced with adding a BTA's to a SPS tank? Any tricks or tips to keep the thing from moving around?
Another option is I also have a 65gal (48X18X18)plumbed in with my sump and DT. But I am only running a 4 foot 4 bulb T5 fixture on that system. Do you guys think that would be enough light for the BTA if I decide not to add it to my DT?
I don't want to jump the gun and just get it, and find out later that I won't be able to provide the proper environment for the anemone to thrive.
Any opinions, tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.
