Aggressive Fish

I picked up 3 new fish a couple weeks back that I've had in a small quarantine tank to keep an eye on them. My problem is my dottyback has been the only fish in my tank for almost a year. The fish fish I put in was a springer eye
Damsel, and the dottyback beat on him for 2 days.
I put him back into quarantine to save him. But I'm not sure what I should do. I don't really want to get rid of the dottyback. Any suggestions?
If I put the dottyback into my quarantine tank and put the new fish into my tank for a few weeks will it make a difference? Maybe change up the scape so it feels like a "new tank"? My tank is a biocube 29 if anyone is wondering
Any insight is appreciated,
Rob

What your suggesting is the text book way to stem territorial aggression and should work. That is how I would do it

That's how I pacified my Clown Tang, kept him quarantined for 2 months, he then got along with three other mellow tangs just swimmingly.
