Yep. Just picked up a killer LPS pack from Darryl. I'll still be sps dominant but I'll take that jump once my tank stabilizes.

Ok you win! Those are definitely killer looking. Those Duncan's will be a very nice looking colony one day. I think I have a similar one in my cube, it's a nice tight grower while my blue assue Duncan from Rick seems to branch and have longer looking polyps. I prefer the full bushy look :) keep us updated on everything. What kind of zoas have you been buying or looking for?

Yeah those Duncan's stretch like a mother f* when they full open.

I just want a variety of zoas. Colors I don't have. Would like a nice garden patch

Also picked up some parts for a manifold... $90 and I haven't even got the 1/2" and 3/4" PVC yet. 5' of 1" ID tubing was $20 alone :mad:...

Nice set up.

thanks Chief!

The good thing about all my previous planning was it was easy to get my system cleaned up and restated. Pre-planning and investment in quality equipment has ensured the future of my reef.

right now I'm running chemipure elite but i'll hopefully have dedicated carbon/gfo and bio pellet reactors online by the end of March (hence the new pump)

I've been vinegar dosing for just over a month. I haven't noticed any changes really, though the glass isn't getting as dirty as it did before. Though with that said, I've been maintaining my system more regularly so that very well could be the reason. I'm up to 6ml of vinegar a day. I'll probably be up to 8ml by the time i get my pellets online. I started with 4ml per day for 3 weeks and have been up-ing the dose by 1ml ever other week. I have a pretty big substantial bio load in my tank so i'm hopping the vinegar will help balance things out until i get bio pellets up and running. Speaking of bio load - heres my fish list;

-2x lyretail anthias
-2x pj cardinals
-2x darwin clowns
-mystery wrasse
-twinspot hogfish

Good luck with the vinegar dosing, I found that the only thing that works with vinegar is french fries

;D

that's why i'm going super slow with it. I'm still dosing my prodbio bacteria biweekly so hopefully the bacteria population remains diverse and plentiful!.
