anyone know if there is a place in London to get the ball valves?  HD doesn't have them, canadian tire only has the screw-handle type (too restrictive).  I haven't been to lowes because it's a bit of a drive...anyone know who has em?

Actually lowes is really good for that stuff, Im 90% sure they have them.

Your talking sched 40 or cpvc?

cpvc preferably.

I was in there about a month ago and grabbed a bunch of stuff.  I don't remember seeing them but I can't remember if I was looking for them specifically :)

Time sensitive;

See if MOPS.ca has them. They owe me a back order, and I can get them tossed in there. And well, since we'll be meeting up sooner than later, I can just give them to you then :)

Glad I doublechecked, it was the 1" threaded ones I wanted.  Actually I only need one.  I will take one off my DT and use that for now, then replace with this one when I see you?

I will add one to my order. Then when my 5 other valves come in I will be golden.

Right now, I am waiting on the valves. The frag tanks are just about all finished. I am thinking it will be late this week, early next that I go to Hamilton. Just need to coordinate everything/one :)

[/quote]It cant be cpvc perferably.  Sch40 PVC and CPVC are different sizes....so a 3/4" in one is a different size than the other.  Generally cpvc is for residential plumbing.  What we use in the hobby is sch40...I have seen people use sch80 though but they are interchangable (same O.D).  Sch80 is usually grey and is thicker walled, higher PSI rating, which we dont need.

I have the white ones (cpvc?) with the grey thread-barb adapters, then c-clamped to flexible drain line.  I used cpvc plumbing (pipe and couplings) to match up with the bulkheads from BRS, which would explain why I had a few leaks.  Fortunately, for non pressuries drain lines, leaks are easily plugges with  teflon or silicone.

Is there a good source for sch40...or are the online sites the best bet?

Cpvc is usually an off-white colour....kind of skin coloured I thought.....
Sch.40 PVC is white..... I get a lot of my stuff at lowes London as I find HD london don't have much for  Sch.40 PVC. I just use the ball valves for all adjustment.....I see some people saying/using gate valves for finer adjustment but I have always been able to dial it in pretty good with ball valves.
