My daughter's nem split about a week ago. I want to move one to my 115g, but they both seem perfectly content where they are on one big rock. Any ideas how i can get one (or both) to move?

If those two suggestions don't work (ice cube probably will though) take a air pump with tubing and put it at one of there foots and leave it running they usually move eventually

Have had a powerhead blasting on one for a couple hours, all its done is close up. Clown is none too happy! The feet on them are anchored real deep into the rock, so i don't think ice is an option. If i move the whole rock to the 115, would that piss them off enough to move?

Can you move the rock into the other tank? If so just place the rock in the other tank and in a day or two at least one of them will move to find a better location.

Moved the rock to the 115g saturday afternoon. They stayed happy as can be. I turned off the light on the side of the tank they are on yesterday afternoon. They don't even care that they've been in the dark over 24 hours. I guess they win and they both get to live in the 30g.

When mine split one of them did an entire lap of the tank stinging everything on the way before it ended up back where it started.
To top it off the Clown fish i bought it for won't go near either of them.

Put the the clown and the anemone in a mesh breeding box or a strainer :) and every day pull the box or strainer out of the water until there is enough water just for the clown to swim inside the anemone :) keep doing it until you see the clown hosting. The magic happens around a week point, sometimes longer :) thats been my trick for years and works like a charm :D
