Every coulle months get a cyno out break and seem to never have clean up crew. Anyone have tips or a good site. Not sure maybe reefing just isnt for me.

75 gallon. 25 gallon sump. Running mag drive pump. Cant remember model. Maxpect gyre on opposite end of return plus 2 large power heads to try and stop cyno. 2 sb reef lights and refgium with cheato and led grow light. Would have to test parameters been a little while. Was dealing with a weeding and such so tank took bit of a slide.

Usually "simple" ones. Recenlty lost a few mushrooms that bought at frag fest. Tank was looking good. Did a water change and left for a week. Came back to cyno and dying coral

Could be too much lights, could be too much feeding, could be both!

Phosphate/nitrate readings are usually the ones needed to help with this.

I have used chemiclean and have had it gine for months. Then bam its back

Are you re-adding equipment or something? It is extremely rare to keep coming back. The only other time I have seen repeat has been someone who put their carbon back online without cleaning the reactor and replacing the media. That just put the bacteria back in their tank.
