Question For Fish And Rock Only Tank

Ok so I have two salt water tanks . One is a 55g has coral anemones fish Al prime lights . My second is 30g just has salt water filter and skimmer .however I want to have a fish and live rock tank . Is there any coral that does not require special lights ??

Pretty much any Non Photosynthetic Coral will do. Some Sea Fans, Sun Coral Black and Orange you would just have to Google it. You would have to feed them.

what type of fish are you planning on adding to the fowlr (fish only with live rock).. some of them are not reef safe and will nip at the corals.. I have a 125g fowlr and I use the sunblasters...no corals in that tank..

Is it a tube light or bulb or led? T8 tube won't grow anything, t5 will keep softies as well as led. Most fancy corals require multiple t5 ho or led to grow if they don't require light they require heavy feeding.

It's just a simple light that comes with the tank lol. I have my big tank with my ai primes but was just curious . I don't mind it just being a fish and rock either thank you

Just a standard light which does nothing . I might get a prime or is there another good light lol which will leave my tank options wide open Lil

a couple of good t8s on a small tank will keep softies, but not very efficient, with t5s or leds, about 1.5 wats per gallon should be fine to grow softies.. my suggestion would be a less expensive led fixture that prob isnt good for hard corals but would work for soft and maybe lps ..maybe something similar to this ,http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Aqueon-OptiB...278547?hash=item2117dcf993:g:l6sAAOSwbdpWWRsh
