I have 2 of them.
One on high light and second medium light.
On medium it is growing faster and polyp extension is better.
But on high light it has some nice neon green color.
In my experience, would say: medium light would be better for them.

I have mine high light and high flow. I get the full color of the Diablo. But it doesn't like anything past 5 for nitrates or it will brown. Mind you it will brown for no reason sometimes. Mine has twice so far but has always come back after a few months. It is not the fastest grower when small but when it gets bigger it is pretty good. Still not the fastest grower but still.

I say find a spot mid level tank\ slightly higher by a few inches under then lights or slightly off center of them (LED\MH) that has good flow and leave it. If you have T5 you can go slightly higher then for MH or LED. The key with them is getting new growth to start especially encrusting at the base. Once it has started for me the color comes back. The color starts first in the new growth and after a month or so you will notice it spread to the older growth portions. It is a slow process so do expect miracles. It typically take mine at least 3 months or more to color back up.

Mine is in high light and very high flow (right above and beside my gorg) mine has a neon green base deep red/purple body I only really get good pe on it after feeding tho but is growing like a weed. I keep my nitrates at 5 any lower my sps loses colour and pe.

Then again it did come from thang so I knew it was amazing stock
