Does anyone use wifi cameras or webcams?

I currently have a nest cam that i got as a wedding gift, i love it and use it for my dog.
But i want to get a few more cameras and the nest cams arent realistic for that (200+ ea) plus 10$ a month for video history.

Anyone else using a wifi cam that they would recommend.

Thanks!

I'm in the same boat as I'd like to have eyes on my system When not at home.

Are you running a Apex?
I spoke with the Apex guru, @TORX
He's running a dlink IP camera linked to his Apex. Which I will eventually do as well. The tank fund is just low with my recent purchase. So in time.

I run a D-Link wireless camera that I purchased from Costco for $99 it is a remote pan tilt zoom camera so I can see everything in my fish room works great even has its own app. And was very easily installed and hooked up
This is what it looks like. Excuse the massive mess LOL

Are you able to view it from outside your home network?

I used 2 DSC-930L. I got them on a 2 for 1 deal on eBay a while back. They aren't currently set up. I viewed them through Fusion, but they come with an app to use them without an Apex. Without an Apex, they are almost plug and play, really simple, HD camera. There is sound as well.

When setting up any camera on an Apex, you need to be familiar or at least comfortable with port fowarding through your router. You also need to be able to set up a DNS. It is a big headache and if you know someone who knows how, just give them a beer to do it.

bumping this thread up as I am planning to have eyes on my tank when I am not home, and also for home security.

So is Dlink wifi cam is the best choice that comes with zoom and you are able to move it around when you are away from home?

I like Nest cam but it is pricey and does not tilt, plan, and zoom.

Im lucky enough to have my computer close enough to my comp and just use remote connect to view the webcam. but wifi cams and apex would be the best way to go
