shit, chalices waging warfare??

just got home and i found my moon man chalice up against my new gold chalice that i just got, got pushed over by my turbo now half of the gold chalice is stripped away exposing skelton.  earlier on today everything was fine because im a huge chalice lover and i always check on them.  question... is it actually possible that whithin 8 hours my one chalice stripped away the new ones body? cause the moon man was excactly in the spot where it is oozing and melting away.....2 i thought chalice cant kill each other 3 will he grow back.

There are a few different species of chalice coral. Some kinds will fight with one another. I've seen this with my own eyes (unfortunately).

Generally chalice that are the same (like 2 echinophyllia) wont hurt each other. But different chalice next to each other (like an echinophyllia next to an oxypora) will result in a winner and a loser. Be careful getting them too close.
