I was wondering other then mag , alk and cal ... what do ppl use to had and how do they apply it ???

reef is mixed lps and sps ....

I've just started using Aquavitro Fuel. not enough time to tell but there's a ton of positive feedback about it, if used sparingly.

best part is, it's quite inexpensive, and it apparently works very well

Thing to remember is, any additive you pour in, make sure you've got a test kit to test the quantity your tank is using.

Years ago people needed more products then they do now. Now the salts we use come with pretty much the things we need for coral growth for the most part. Back then the list in the bucket was so basic you needed things like multivitamin, mag, iodine or things like that because the bucket had very little added. Now if you do regular water changes you really only need the fast used up
nutrients like alk and calcium.
The manufacturer just want you to spend your money on something they make you think you need.

Like Eric said if you can't test for it you should probably not just dump products in assuming you need it.
