well seeing everything underneath kept getting me yelled at so i covered it up stand is metal so didnt want to frame... besides magnets are cheap. i made the center panel large enough to get at pretty well everything but the 2 smaller side panels are just magnets as well total cost about $60 had paint left over from my frag tank cabinet so that saved alot but heres the pics

well after having a deep sand bed in my fuge with about a 5 gallon pail full worth of chaeto and a couple softball clumps of grape algae and some mangroves i have managed to stretch my water changes to 3 weeks before anything is detectable with tests.... normally nitrate registers a little but after installing a makeshift algae scrubber this water change nothing was detectable.... am amazed and best part rocks sandbed are spotless and glass i allow just enough to form to keep those copepods coming. Joy of natural consumption and i know im not getting false readings because sps and lps are all growing well and everytime i get new stock my lfs double checks for me :)

has been a while since i last updated so figure some fts are in order.... recently i took the gamble of adding a snowflake eel to my reef tank and being almost a month with no problems i think he is liking his new home and got a horseshoe crab for the little guy now he can boast he owns something older than dinosaurs.

Looking great. I've always been fascinated with horseshoe crabs. How long did they say it takes the horseshoe crab to get to it's full size? What are you going to do with it when it outgrows the tank? Go for a bigger tank? LOL Always looking for an excuse for a bigger tank (that's why I have so many, :))
