So I bought a YSP rock that had about 40 nice polyps on it. (still does) and they all open during the light cycle. But ALL of them are missing the little hair fringe that used to surround each polyp. as if they were eaten.. Thoughts? I don't see any critters picking at it.. not much in the tank to eat them... Do those grow back?

Those are feeding tentacles. They generally expand at night because that is when their food is swimming about in the water.
They should come out when you feed the tank. Hopefully you know there are a non photosynthetic coral that must be fed regularly to thrive.
