Will Established Tank Cycle If Livesand Is Added To Barebottom

Hey everybody, just curious and looking for some input. Recently added livesand to the bottom of my barebottom setup. Not certain but it appears as though my tank is going through a cycle. Corals are mad, getting a brownish/greenish film on my rocks of gsp which are now not opening up. Any insight would be great! Thanks in advance. Live sand was from my 120 i recently tore down, but I had thoroughly cleaned it as I didn't want it to be toxic in my little 35 aio.

its possible adding the sand caused a slight spike in alk?

edit : nevermind not new sand. could be nitrates tho

Yep that's what's happening, let it run its course, water change some extra carbon maybe, should settle on its own

Add some prime to deal with the ammonia.
