Heres my question.
Do you run your reactor with or without the sponge filters in the reactor?
I find it clogs up all the time and impedes the performance.  Not sure if i should remove them or not.
any thoughts??

you need to run the reactor with the sponge filters, unless you have the new style cartridge.

I have used both cartridges and prefer the older one with sponges.nIf the sponges aren't used, you will get GFO all over your system. a tip would be to keep the intake of the reactor as clean as possible. the more gunk that gets in the cartridge, the less efficient it will become and eventually lower its performance.

i took the sponges out to see how it would run, seems pretty good so far.

Top and bottom of the new cartridge look like thus..

If its working and your not getting gfo flying all over the place, see how it goes?

I have read and watched videos that it is designed to be used without the sponge filters. I tried it and it didnt work out that good for me. The slots ended up getting full of crud and the tumbling of the gfo slowed. Hopefully it works better for you then for me.

i watched the brs video again.  pretty sure it is a different video than i watched when i first got it.  hmmm.
anyways.. with straight gfo i dont need the sponges.  i swear it told me before that i did.  the old video was better IMO.
