So that's great bud thst you finally got your self a pair . Where did you end up getting them... ace and grace sounds cool... I'd stick with thatSo I just picked up 2 clownfish and I need to name them. One has to be a girls name and the others a boy. They don't have to rhyme but.... maybe? Any suggestions? I'm thinking of maybe Ace and Grace. Image below. Thanks.
Yes been looking for a pair for a long time. I actually got them from my LFS!! Ok thank you for the opinionSo that's great bud thst you finally got your self a pair . Where did you end up getting them... ace and grace sounds cool... I'd stick with that
I also really want them to host my anemone but idk if they know where it is. Any ideas? Image below. So that's great bud thst you finally got your self a pair . Where did you end up getting them... ace and grace sounds cool... I'd stick with that
Some clowns host very quickly. ... some take months..... some never do.... I have a regular OCC clown and a black onyx picasso clown. The OCC clown has been in my tank for a year and has never gone near my Nem. The black onyx Picasso hosted it in a couple weeks. Just the way it is unfortunately.I also really want them to host my anemone but idk if they know where it is. Any ideas? Image below.
Hopefully they can host... one of the only reasons I got a new in the first placeSome clowns host very quickly. ... some take months..... some never do.... Chase them around the tank a few times a day and when they get close to nem leave them alone.. After a few days they will touch one another have a moment then be inseparable. It will take them a couple days to adjust their mucus with the nem so he doesn't eat them so don't expect it to jump right in (that could end badly). Normally when I do this they are hosting within 3-4 days plus simulates the wild and gives that instinct the nem is a safe place. My clown won't go more than 8" away and only to bring food right back. EVEN WITH ANOTHER FISH IN ITS MOUTH nemo was hosting lmaoI also really want them to host my anemone but idk if they know where it is. Any ideas? Image below.
did you add the Anemone first, or the clownfish first? Are they hosting it?So I just picked up 2 clownfish and I need to name them. One has to be a girls name and the others a boy. They don't have to rhyme but.... maybe? Any suggestions? I'm thinking of maybe Ace and Grace. Image below. Thanks.
Ok well its been 2 weeks and they haven't gone near itI'd let your clowns find your nem. It took about a week for mine. It was cool watching them look at the nem but not go near it. Then, more and more looks. Then one day they were hosted by the anemone.
Very natural and easy.
Yes I have tried this and I have 3 nems. One of the clowns was in one for 1 second and hasn't gone near it since!!!Chase them around the tank a few times a day and when they get close to nem leave them alone..
