What in the ???

Cleaning the sump today and everything in it... Took this carbon bag out to rinse and saw thousands of these little orange eggs??

What could they be?

I have noticed that a lot of pods and small shrimp looking things around my tank and in the sump, also rather large pods too

Hope I didn't kill them!

Nvm guess they wouldn't be clown eggs, How would they get in. Lol I'm slow

Those eggs are bigger than the mesh aren't they?... Something even bigger must have gotten in to lay them.  Is there a hole?
What brand of carbon is that?  Maybe they put something else in it to help clean the water.

I looked it over couldn't see any holes but yes they are bigger then the mesh, clearly could see them when I looked close at the bag and in my hand ....

Chemi pure elite is the carbon I use ...

All I see in the sump are huge pods and these little shrimp things have a red look to them?

100% Copepod eggs ... Google image searched it, and I remember seeing big copepods with orange things on them, they were able to get in this bag some how

Pods are pretty hard to spot lol they are quick
