I never had luck with the vodka dosing, I switched to the bio pellets and they worked right out of the box. Also, I hate wasting vodka 
ammonia should be 0 in an 8 month old system, could be the test.
Phosphate is the one you need to keep an eye on for sure. Getting an accurate read on that (to me) is the most important next to calc, alk and mag.
I might almost suspect the vodka...or a sting from another coral. Hard to say, nothing seems crazy out of line there.
