Hi guys . My wife and I are taking a week long trip to Florida in July to visit my wife's father. Will be flying in to Tampa and he lives in Hudson. 45 min from tampa on the Gulf Coast. My reason for posting this is a want to find some where that has a aquarium or something we can go see. Does anyone know this area well?.thanks

World Wide Corals is an absolute must, although it's near Kissimmee/Orlando. You'll get to see "jasper" the white tang, and the original bounce mushroom. Their two display tanks are incredible.

The next one would be Living Reef Orlando. Not as famous as WWC but an incredible store no less.

In Cleawater you can visit the Clearwater Aquarium, that's where the dolphin with no tail lives, her name is Winter. It's very entertaining because it's not like a regular aquarium . This aquarium is a rehab center so most of animals are returned to the ocean . They have aquaruims with fish to view and lot of what they do is for conservation so you can learn a lot there, it's very informative . They also offer boat trips into the ocean to view dolphins in the wild and to catch fish for research . Again very informative and interesting. We thoroughly lived it and the staff was very informative and knowledgable which is not always the case when you visit these places . If you are lucky they will be performing a surgury while you are there , they have an observation window so you can watch .

There is also a great aquarium store located in Venice Florida, he has awesome stuff there. He is located on the main drive in Venice, FYI Venice is not a very large city . So far he has the best selection that we have seen and we try to visit all the aquarium stores or attractions everytime we are there.

I am going back down on Dec. 22 so I can look into some other attractions if you want .
