thinking of mantis shrimp

Ive got a extra 40 gal hex thats been running for 2 months now with just live rock was thinking of doing a mantis tank only but ive heard of them breaking glass is this true?? If their good to keep in there is it ok..if so does anyone know where i can get them.

Hi there. I was just reading that you are thinking of getting a mantis. I have a peacock mantis and he's awesome. I've heard that they can break glass but I have mine in a glass tank and he's fine. Eventually we will probably build him an acrylic tank when he gets bigger. The only shitty part is finding live food to feed him and food that he likes.
