Installed,  opted to install them to the lid after most,  not all of the optics were removed from the fixtures.
No disco effect at all,  approx 4 " from the waterline.

Still going to install retro 2 bulb T5 system,  but I am very happy with the look and results this far off my Chinese leds.

I will keep you all updated as I know everyone is hungry for a review,  an unbiased review!  Cause these lights were soooo cheap I don't have to live them.. Lol.

Also my first impressions of the leds... I am only running blue channel at  40-50 percent, white at 25 percent and I already like the color.  The tank appears clearer as the  t5's made the water look cloudy,  if that makes any sense.
Also I am so happy to have shimmer back!  I missed that the most.

There is a little bit of shadowing for sure,  but I'll fix that up with the t5 supplement!

Now to watch coral health...

Looks great!  I found that the T5 supplements really helped solve the shadowing issue in my tank.  Undersides that were previously going pale have now coloured up again.

i see you liked  my idea to attach with angles, looks very nice indeed

Digging these lights so far. ..  When I get around to adding 2x t5's,  is going to be awesome!  Coral plus will round out the spectrum and from what I've read be a solid lighting system

But yes for sure,  I dig the angle brackets,  quick and easy!  The lid is a little cumbersome now...  But it was the best option
