So here we go, i haven't been able to find this being done her so i though it may be a good idea. There is always so much debate :luke: elsewhere about the possible combos for running t5 bulbs, and with 2,4,6,8,10 or maybe more bulbs in a fixture the possibilities are great.

I would like to get all of you T5 users out there to post your info with a pic
I know its alot to ask....... but hey u can show off your tank at the same time ;D
Please post

Tank size, Fixture (how many bulbs running also) and then your bulb choice with a a tank shot to give us an idea of the overall colour.
Also it may be nice to include what direction ur tank is aimed: LPS,SPS softie dominated or whatever.

Im kinda hoping this will turn into a resource that can be looked at later when wondering about what bulbs to use for what and how they look ;)

Feel free to share any important info on T5 lighting aswell.

Ooohhh.. I'm going to follow this one!  My new fixture came with 3x 12k, 3x actinic,  6 led blue moonlights.  I'm not convinced this is even close to what I want our need for good coral growth.

That does look nice!

I use 2 ATI Coral + and 2 ATI AquaBlue Special, which are supplemented by Cree RB LEDs.  In terms of strictly T5 bulbs, seems like most go with the ATI Blue + for the majority of their bulbs, supplemented by another bulb or two, as you have done.  Best bang for your buck I think in terms of PAR and aesthetics.

I'd be interested to know what the PAR is on the ATI Coral +.  I'm guessing it is probably similar to the aqublue special, I think one is 15k and the other is 17,5 or something, so in the same ballpark I imagine.

Before- 4 KZ Superblue, 1 Purple+, 1 Aquablue Special

After- 4 Blue+, 1 Purple+, 1 Coral+

Tank is 80 gallons 4x2x16", i just changed this for my original 90 and love the shallow depth.
Id say the new lights are significantly more blue that was 5 mins after turning them on though im sure there is a slight warmup period

they definitely lightened after the bulbs warmed up, im really happy with the bulb combo. i need a good camera those are all iphone pics lol, on top of that i seem to always be battling some kind of stupid algae, so i keep the tank a little bit camera shy. Thanks for the kind words :)
