So i currently have a T-5 lighting setup on my 55 gallon tank,

I was wondering if anyone had issues with them using a lot of Hydro ? And if there is any other light setup i could go with that would do
the same job these ones are doing ?

Currently i have 2 blues and 2 whites for my light setup, Coral Plus 54 WATT ATI Bulbs

Any suggestions welcomed, I may need to setup an amp and test the usage from them as well

It doesnt really matter what fixture in terms of electrical use......just the size and number of bulbs (ie. total wattage).

T5HO are basically the 2nd best energy efficient light to use next to LED.  So I wouldn't call them hydro suckers...  Your basically only using 216watts.  Even if you run all 4 for 12hrs a day that is only 2.5kwatts which would be roughly .25 cents a day or $7.50 a month.  That is probably a high estimate.
