Did not want to hijack the other thread going but I have some questions abut my sump setup as well.

sump1.jpg

my thoughts..
1. Since most in sump skimmers have a min water level requirement, I plan on putting the skimmer in section "A". Would there be any problems with this?

or

Would it be better to reverse my whole picture and have the overflow go into the "deeper" section "A"

2. My Phosban would it be better to run the filtered carbon water directly to section A or would it really make a difference?

Any other problems you can see with the setup?

i dont see a problem,if this is where the water level min for your skimmer is i would say this is good,

as i dont use carbon much i dont know if this is best,i would run the phosban reactor into my return, but i dont think it matters a great deal, where is the feed for the reactor comming from?nevermind, i see it   :-[

Most setups I have seen incorporate the skimmer in the first section. I won't get into specifics but most think it helps the skimmer and sump work more efficiently.

You might also get micro bubbles from the skimmer into the display if you run the skimmer in the return section.

Anyone see any problems if I reversed the sump ie. overflow goes in A.. to Return in C.
Other wise I would have to add another baffle to raise the water level in "C" to allow my skimmer to run properly.

I dont see an issue with that..I see a bonus, being you will have a functional bubble trap by reversing it
