Substrate

Setting up a new tank, and I'm sure its been talked about a few times on here but Looking at different substrates and wondering what peoples take is,,, I'll most likely do at least 3 inch... i usually like something fine,, but not sand... but was thinking of mixing a fine with some crushed coral?

thoughts?

I thought you normally used aptaisia as substrate !?

Mixing fine with crushed coral will just end with the fine on the bottom and crushed coral on top. With vibrations, the fine will work its way down and crushed will work its way up. Its cool like that...its...
