Dude, you left it outside. Not gonna lie, stealing is wrong and such, but you can't say you weren't asking for it by leaving things lying around.

Live and learn I guess. Plus calling the cops ain't gonna do diddly. His work against theirs. Unless they admit to stealing it in front of the cop. How can he prove it was his?

What we have here is the difference between big city and small city. I grew up in a small town and remember my friend had his bike stolen from the front lawn, we were shocked. My wife grew up in london and it was expected that if you left something on the porch it would be gone.

It's not unreasonable, It should pretty much be accepted that there are good people and bad people everywhere.. I know it's not your fault the tank got stolen.. But would you leave your car unlocked with the keys in the cup holder overnight?  What about a nice TV on the front porch overnight? Pretty much anything of value shouldn't be left outside and that's a given regardless of where u live.

I guess that was my point sidewaze, I apologize for coming off like a dink. I grew up up in the east end of town here in London and we learned real quick that if you leave anything lying around while you're not there there is a chance someone will steal it. Hell even if you lock things up, if punks want it bad enough they will go after it. I really do hope you find it somehow.  While I dont encourage vigilante justice as it can often land you in hotter water then them (assault vs theft right?) I do hope somehow things work out. Once again dude, I apologize for the way my earlier comments sounded.
