Spaghetti Worm?

Confirm my ID?

I moved a rock and a "lump" dropped off. Sucked up the lump, put it in my hand and saw a mass of tentacles on one end and what looked like an earthworm's head on the other. I checked the substrate and what I THOUGHT was small fibrous patches of red algae is actually the feelers from a couple of these poking through the sand. Poked my turkey baster in, sucked out one that was 1.5 cm long.



If my ID is correct they're just detritivores, and I love bio diversity in the tank. That said, I kill asterina on sight to prevent them from becoming a problem. Thoughts?

Nothing wrong with spaghetti worms at all, I have plenty and they don't bother anything. Now asterina stars, first I thought they were cute, then was amazed at how fast they reproduce, then was annoyed at how fast they effected my corals. 1 harlequin shrimp and 4 weeks later no star lives.

I found spagetti worms to be an oddity but not a bad thing and yes those little stars are so cute until they're everywhere.
Fire worms, those i can do with out. Theres so much diversity in our tanks.
