So a piece of rock I inherited seems like it has something growing on it... Its on several places, but this little grouping is the only one to green back up. Any ideas?

Hard to tell so small right now, but it looks like the start of Bryopsis. Keep an eye on it and your Nitrate and Phos. Do you have any kind of Clean up Crew and what kind of Bio load do you have.

All levels are reading as nearly undetectable (ATI test kits). All readings are coming up clear, so I figured that was a good sign.

CUC currently consists of 10 to 12 nass snails, 6 cerith, 1 turbo and 1 hermit crab. On top of that, bio load is relatively light for a 50 gallon with two clowns, and 3 small coral frags. All added over 4 week period.

I made quite a few mistakes over the past number of years reefing, so this time I was taking it real slow and steady. Figures... :p

If I recall, there aren't too many things out there that chew on that stuff... Should I get in there and get it gone now?

I would just leave it for now as it may also be an algae that I call turf that grows short like a golf green. You may want to pick up a few more Turbo's they might nibble on it or a pick up a grazer like a Yellow Tang or Lawnmower Blenny. It probably would be a good idea to get some GFO and keep on stand by with some way running it. You may also want to look at some better Test kits, I just don't have faith in the ATI brand for Reef testing.

If your clean CUC won't touch it you could give it a "Peroxide dip" 75% tank water to 25% peroxide. Rinse in clean tank water again and re-introduce into your tank.
Then in a few days, repeat.
Do you have any corals on the rock? Most have no problems at all but... not all corals can take a peroxide dip.
