So new house, and wife has given me the go a head to buy my dream aquarium for the living room,,, Problem is,, where to buy it from? I've been to about 6 different shops from hamilton to markham only to find the same stuff every where, I'm really looking for a nice tank with hood.. with sump already set to go, I don't have a ton of free time,, or else i'd take my time and do it all myself. can anyone tell me a good place that has reef ready aquariums to check out? On the other side,, If I get Miracles to custom make one,, anyone have a good source for someone that can make a really nice stand,, on par with the red reefer

That's odd that they don't fit your space as there are so many different styles and sizes? If I were to do it all over again I would do the Reefer 750 XL. The best feature of the RS tanks is the extra width. I have the 525 XL and could never go back to a standard width.

Like the reefer tanks, but holy crap, expensive.
They are quality, but still cant justify the cost.

After shopping for tank and Equipment. I have to admit. Responses from some businesses are very slow. Some didn't even respond.
I guess I expect more from someone Im thinking of giving my money too.
One guy in particular responded about a couple things. I then asked for price on something else and nothing from him again. Actually I just thought of another one also that did that.
Sure, Im shopping around. Thats how it works.
In todays world, communication is pretty easy and quickly done.
Customer Service seems low these days, especially when dealing over the internet.
No face to face anymore.

Most private sellers are good though.

problem is so many tire kickers out there. I would think that if you have a very solid idea of dimensions, overflows, cabinet etc you would get better responses. I think they get so many inquiries that they try to sort out the ones that are serious from the people that are just curious with no intentions to purchase. I know this is the case when I was in the game. For every 100 people asking questions i might get 5 who are serious about buying. This is likely more the case with online shoppers. Just an observation. Hope you find what your looking for.

Not the first time I have heard this from people looking to get a tank built. There is at least one other thread here recently about someone getting the run around and lack of responces on a build. It is a sad but true as stated above.
